So, this whole blog thing started a year ago (right after the Crescent camp trip) when I was in my mom's tummy...I remember hearing all the laughing, the great food and the fun times in utero land. My family talked about me the whole camp trip last year imaging what it would be like when I finally arrived. This year was the real deal. My mom & dad said that they couldn't imagine a better little camper than me. I love the outdoors and my wonderful family. There was never a dull moment & I had plenty of arms to hold me.

Just me. So happy...to be here at Crescent.

Here's me and my whole crew at Crescent! Can't wait for next year!

I couldn't get enough of the water...this is all too much fun!

Me, mama and my big brother...

I think the watermelon tasted a little funky...my brother was trying to tell me otherwise...

Here's me and my most awesome family camping at Crescent. Yeah, see me bundled up? It was a little chilly.

This is my Aunt Marcy teaching me to read during our trip to Crescent. I LOVE school time...in fact, I cry when it's over and I'm not kidding!

Okay at 8 months old I got my first kiss...from an older women...Hey, what can I say? I'm irresistable!

Summer Time Fun!!!

Summer has been busy and fun. We've been gardening and camping mostly. I am looking forward to our Cresent trip coming up. I have been mostly busy growing and am almost 8 months old already. Here is just a great pic of me and my doggy and grandma!
Here's me and my silly grandma and grandpa. We're camping at Cultis...and playing with coffee filters on our heads!

Just doing a little kayaking...
Here's me and my cousin Scott...we're buddys. He comes over and takes me on walks to the park. I love his doggy, Lakoda too.

I just turned 7 months old in this picture. I already have FOUR teeth on the top and my 2 on the bottom! I'm a teething monster...but I have no real problems getting them in. I also started sitting up now too. It's a whole new world sitting up!
Here's my daddy tickling me...I'm real ticklish now a days.
The garden in it's infancy.
This is the new arbour my mom & dad put at the entrance to the garden.
Here's the garden just starting to get going...see my mommy and Steezy in the background? I was napping...it's something I do occasionally.
Here's me and grandpa hangin' in front of our new motor home! I can't wait to go camping!
Here's me and my BIG brother...I'm getting his nose. See how much we like alike?
More to come!!!!

Our little ham...

6 months has been such an exciting time. Ruari is rolling over from front to back like crazy. He's eating solids now and discovering new things about the world every minute, it seems. He's grabby McGrabberson and wants to touch everything and then put it in his mouth. He's so much fun and such a happy little man. Here are a few highlights of the last month (0r so)...
So, I've found my feet and I actually even love to suck on my toes.

Camping at Cape Perpetua. I love my daddy.

Oh and I really like to eat now too. Mom tried a couple of months ago, but it wasn't my thing. Now, I'm really diggin' it.

Mom & dad took me on my first camp out. We went to the coast and it was beautiful and sunny. I had a great time but really put a damper on mom & dad's sleep. I pretty much had insomnia the whole time. I was just out of my element.

I love to look at myself in the mirror...it always makes me smile & want to eat myself.

As part of my development, I now grab onto everything in my reach, including my mom's cold one. Of course, in this way I'm just like my dad...always reaching for the Rogue. Of course, mom's a party pooper, she wouldn't even let me have a sip.

I'm very enthusiastic about books, especially if I can gum them each time my mom turns the page.

5 months young...

This picture is a little out of order but my mom can't figure out how to rearrange this post so...anyway...this is me trying to poke my great grandma's eye out. She kept trying to get my tummy so I thought I'd go for her eye.

There's been lots of changes in the last month. I got my first two teeth, I play peek a boo, I'm sleeping in my own crib and I rolled over from my back to my tummy! My mom & dad have so many pictures of me, they can't figure out which one's to share but here are some highlights from 4-5 months.
I just discovered my doggy. I think she is about the funniest thing I've ever seen. She makes me laugh so hard that I pee my pants!
This is just a really cool picture of me chillin' on my dads tummy.
My mom tried feeding me some cereal. As you can tell, I think this stuff is really quite discusting. At present, I don't like bananas, apples, pears or sweet potatoes. My mom hopes that I change my mind soon.

I finally got to meet my great grandma! She loves me so much that she tried to kiss me constantly! She calls me "boo boo" just like me mom.
My family and I went to the coast. In preparation for my first coastal outing, my mom bought me some gear that she couldn't resist. See my new teeth?
At the coast, I finally got to hang out with my Uncle Ryan again. He couldn't believe what a big boy I've become since December when he saw me last. See any resemblance?
When we went to the coast, I got to snuggle with Grandma & Grandpa in the morning. As you can see, I had a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure Grandma & Grandpa didn't mind me being in bed with them either.
Here's a photo of me & my family at Agate Beach, outside of Newport. We had so much fun together! I can't wait to do it again.

Almost four months old!

Here's me & my mom. She's always kissing me!
This is my favorite position in the world. Whenever I am the least bit sad, this position just sets me right. My daddy is so strong! As you can see we're both amazed!

I'm a real flirt. This is one of my common smiles. I have the best attitude and my mom and dad say I'm the best baby ever!

Look at how tall I've gotten.
Here's one of my great babysitters, Olivia. She's playing airplane with me and I am drooling ALL over her! This is so fun!

Here's me and my Aunt Marcy. She's one of my favorite baby sitters too. See, I'm real tired in this picture by my family is oogling over me so I'm maintaining my composure for now.

Here I am just looking cute. My grandma Williams gave me this Bronco Jersey and I already have big muscles to fill this thing out.

My daddy's whiskers feel really good on my feet. He thinks my feet smell good too so
we play this game a lot. Here I am taking a bath AGAIN...see, I've discovered that I have legs and they are very fascinating to me. I've also discovered my hands and how to roll over from my tummy to my back!

Here I am on my three month birthday. I'm already out of my three month old clothes and onto the six month duds. I weigh in at 14.2lbs and I am 25 inches long now!

The Latest on the Ruari Scene...

Since Mommy is returning to work next week, she thought an update might be due since time will be of the essence. Mostly, I've just been growing like a weed, as evidenced by the photos. We've just been busy with day to day activities. Mom and I finally got on a schedule and now we have to start on a new one. I still have yet to sleep through the night but mommy hopes that I'll start once she returns to work. Here's what I've been up to:
Here I am just looking handsome. Mom says she had to take a picture of me since I probably will be able to wear this sweater a couple of times before it's too small and too hot to wear it.

This is my BIG brother and I just chillin'. He says someday he is going to take me snowboarding. I'm sure to have an "epic" experience with him.

This is one of my favorite people in the world. He likes to make funny faces at me and he thinks I'm the best too.

Here I am enjoying my awesome swing that Grandma and Grandpa Connell got me. Mom and dad put me in here when they are making dinner. I love it!

Here's my doggy, Steezy and I having some tummy time. Steezy tries to lick me a lot and my mom gets kind of mad. Steezy's real protective of me and sits at the top of the stairs in front of my room when other dogs come over. Nobody can mess with me, when Steezy is around. I can't wait to play ball with her soon.

Here I am in my little stroller bag waiting for my doggy and mom to go on a walk around the hood. I usually hate this thing but my mom caught me at a happy moment. Could we please go now?
